Sql management studio intellisense not updating

But there is something to note; updates are not applied automatically, and you have the option to download the installer and go through the update process or wait for a newer version.
I find that when I’m creating/deleting columns and tables, the Intellisense falls out of date far too often (or maybe I’m just really impatient).
If I had databases with lots and lots of tables, I wouldn’t be that bothered, but this happens to me with even 2 or 3 tables and a handful of columns.

In SQL Server Management Studio 2008, up until a few days ago my Intelli Sense was working great. The icon as it as enabled on the toolbar menu, and under Tools - Intelli Sense it says it is enabled there.
