List of Hampshire County Cricket Club first-class players As of 9 October 2018This list contains the players who represented Hampshire County Cricket Club in first-class matches from 1864 to the last match against Warwickshire at the end of the 2017 season.
Hampshire till then has been represented by 698 players in first-class cricket. Hampshire county cricket teams formed by earlier organisations, principally the Hambledon Club and dating back to the 18th century, always had first-class status and so the county club was rated accordingly from its foundation in 1864 until 1885.
By the time they started to make their way home, they had been joined by two small kittens which had been presented to Laura, one in Anatolia and one by an Istanbul hotel owner.
Though unrelated, the kittens, male and female, were identical and, as Laura soon discovered, they shared another unusual characteristic – they loved swimming.
On the hot return journey, as Laura dived into a river to cool off, the kittens followed, swimming about happily in deep water.
When her kittens grew into cats and mated they produced kittens bearing the same markings as the parents, thus proving that they were a natural breed.
